Some files are being deleted and/or my anti-virus is detecting robloxfpsunlocker as malware. What do I do?

Any detections are most likely a false positive. If you don't trust me, feel free to download the repository and compile the project from the source. Otherwise, add an exception to your anti-virus for rbxfpsunlocker.exe (or the folder it is in).

How can I see my FPS?

Press Shift+F5 in-game to view your FPS. In Roblox Studio, go to View->Stats->Summary.

I used this unlocker and my framerate is the same or below 60. Why?

I say with great emphasis, as this seems to be a common misconception, that Roblox FPS Unlocker is an FPS unlocker and not a booster. It will not boost Roblox's performance in any way and only removes Roblox's 60 FPS limit. To take advantage of RFU, a computer powerful enough to run Roblox at more than 60 FPS is required.

Can I set a custom framerate cap?

Custom framerate limits can be set by changing the FPSCap value inside the settings file located in the same folder as rbxfpsunlocker.exe and reloading settings (RFU->Load Settings). Changing the cap with RFU's menu will reset/overwrite this value.

Does this work for Mac?

No. Roblox FPS Unlocker was written only for the Windows platform and I currently have no plans to change this. However, those more experienced and with Mac hardware are free to port this project to Mac!

Disclaimer

Around June 21st, 2020 I received reports that Roblox was handing out bans to players using this tool. Roblox most likely assumes that rbxfpsunlocker.dll is an exploit or a cheat. I fixed this issue in release 1.6 and can confirm injecting rbxfpsunlocker is now 'invisible' to Roblox. HOWEVER, this won't stop Roblox from releasing a new detection in the future. Please use this tool at your own risk and keep in touch with this repository for updates.

For the unversed, Roblox does not allow its player to play games above 60 FPS, which is not bad for playing games on PC and Android. But, sometimes due to this low FPS rate, players will have to face issues. 

Whenever players face an issue the first thing they do is check FPS. Unfortunately, people playing on iPhones are not allowed to see FPS while playing games on Roblox. 

However, if you suspect that it is the number of FPS that causes issues with the app, here are few simple things that you should do to fix issues.

1. First, make sure you have enough empty space and RAM on your phone before you start playing games on Roblox. Yes, the lack of RAM and storage space always creates trouble for users playing games on iPhones. 

2. Make sure you are using the latest version of the software. Because there are numerous iPhone users who reported having fixed issues by simply updating their Software version. If you have any pending updates for a new software version, there are chances that you would not play Roblox games smoothly.

3. Make sure you don’t have any additional apps running in the background. 

4. Go to settings and select General and then Accessibility. There, you will find the Reduce Motion option. Make sure to enable this option.

For Mac users, Roblox has numerous features that make gameplay a lot smoother. To check your Roblox FPS on Mac, press the Shift and F5 keys at the same time.
